The final financial statement and supporting accounts were very well and clearly presented, thanks to the valuable effort and time given by Johnny. I fully endorse the same to be presented to the alumni at large. Kind regards - Joe

Astrid, did receive a query and promptly responded with the following comments....
I feel proud to add that SJCS Reunion received support from BMX Goa in all aspects of planning from start to finish, only difference is that every event BMX Goa held was subsidised by ex-students in businesses.
It is important to reiterate that SJCS Reunion was intended to be a non profit making event and in view of this we worked very carefully to plan a successful reunion. In addition, it was announced that should any profits be made that this would be forwarded to the welfare of the two surviving nuns in Nairobi.
With this strategy in focus we proceeded to set a basic price for all the events. Hope this clarifies the issues raised. (End Quote).
To conclude, question raised is why our Goa Reunion 2008 was a bit more expensive compared to BMX. As Astrid has answered, all I would like to say and as I have said before, though BMX Reunion in Goa was great and my wife and I had a superb time, I was fortunate to link up with Lea Mathias (BMX Secretary at the time), who gave me all the necessary assistance in planning some meetings etc. Her support was most valuable and I always counted her as a member of our team. Our differences between BMX and SJCS was in the entertainment planning where all I can say is that our Zanzibari’s when together create a dynamic atmosphere and this is what made our SJCS Goa Reunion exceptionally special.
We now have to look into forward planning the next reunion. The doors are open to one and all with full support from our SJCS Goa Reunion committee if required.
As from today, I will close down our SJCS Goa Reunion committee website which was freely used by the committee members to communicate. I also will conclude that though the SJCS Goa committee officially stand down, the UK5 team will remain in office to promote raising funds for our St. Joseph’s Church Zanzibar headed by Johnny Coutinho. On behalf of all our team, I take this opportunity of thanking one and all for all their support and I am sure our proud Chairman Karpal Aujla will not fail to address you all in the near future. A million thanks to Karpal for proposing Goa. He trusted us to do the business.
